The influence of Philadelphia’s queer scene, both past and present, can be seen and heard worldwide. Yet it’s frequently reduced to being just a city that you drive through, often on the way to its well-known neighbors. “Not a Drive-Thru” pushes against that narrative. The compilation brings together seven queer producers whose tracks layer the city’s grit atop its romance and deepen its lows with sultry vocals, while curbing despair with crashes of hope. Altogether, it presents a world as rich as the city itself: never reducible to one thing, one genre, one moment, or one drive-through. Philly is a destination in its own right.

All proceeds from this record will be donated to The Coalition for Black Trans Economic Liberation, which redistributes wealth and resources to support Black LGBTQIA+ people across the greater city.
